Flakies on Tips!

I was so happy when Finger Paints released its Special Effects Collection. Before it was really hard to get your hands on flakies at a reasonable price. I made a couple of trips to Sally's Beauty Supply to get my hands on this particular effect called Twisted. It is a mix of all different kind of flakies and I would call it a rainbow effect.

For this, I applied 2 coats of Zoya Raven which is a metallic/cream finish. To give it a matte look I applied a coat of China Glaze Matte Magic. After it dried I applied Finger Paints Twisted on my tips. This mani looks really cool in person but it does not last long like a regular mani. My mani started to chip at the end of second day.

Items Used:
Base Coat: Seche Clear
Polish: Zoya Raven (2 coats)
Polish on Tips: Finger Paints Twisted
Top Coat: China Glaze Matte Magic

I will appreciate any suggestions or comments.

Thanks for looking.

  1. I've always loved matte + glossy french manis! I like the idea and look of the flakies on the matte. Cute =]

  2. I love it! What a smart way to use flakies over black/dark polish but in a new way. Gonna have to try this myself soon.

  3. I love this! I'll have to try this some time even though my bf hates "tip" manis, lol.

  4. Wow, that is beautiful! Love it! Saw it on Zoya's fb and came here to see the rest of your swatches.

  5. The flakies look really cool against the matte black :-)

  6. Thank you so much for all the comments <3
@ Victoria You should try He'll learn to love "tip" manis :D

  7. I'm not a fan of flakies (I know, I'm pretty sure I'm the only person). But I really like this :)
