New Years Nails 2

Hello,

Happy New Years! I know there are still 4 hours left at the West Coast but there are couple of readers from other countries which are already past midnight. I hope each and everyone of you have a beautiful and happy year ahead.

Now for New Years Nails, I came up with this design showing 2 full wine glasses :D and with the star I was trying to represent the New Years Ball. It is an easy design just follow the steps and remember its New Years so have fun with it.

New Years Nails 1

Hello,

I am so excited it's New Years this weekend. I will try to upload a couple of New Years design in the next two days and have decided that I will try to upload tutorials for nail art (other than stamping of course!). For each tutorial, I will guide you through the various steps needed to attain the final look.

For the first tutorial, I was thinking about New Years and the first thing that popped in my mind was silver, festive, and sparkles. I know the lighting is horrible but trust me it looks so much elegant and better in person.

Pretty Areej

Hello,

I wish the winter break can last forever as I am having such a good time with my family. I am really grateful to Zoya that they did the Flash Promo's before Christmas and I was able to grab Zoya Areej. It came out in the summer of 2011 in Zoya's Summertime Collection.

For this, I used Zoya Areej which is a cool muted fuchsia pink color. It is a cream finish that goes on opaque in one coat but I used two coats to even it out. The consistency is little bit on the thicker side but it is manageable.

Christmas Nails

Hello,

Merry Christmas! I am really late for posting my Christmas nails as I was busy traveling and visiting my family. I am having a very good time with my family and glad that my semester is over.

For this, I used Zoya Holly (click Holly to see the swatches) and Essie Blanc and also used some red and golden micro beads that I brought from Ebay. I do not like these beads at all as they bleed really bad. I have to dab my top coat on so that the red color from the beads would not bleed onto my white nail polish.

The Perfect Green

Hello,

I knew I wanted this color as soon as Zoya released its Gems & Jewels collection for holidays (2011). I do not own many green polishes, so I was excited to add it into my collection. I was happy to see this polish in person, it was love at first sight. Holly is such a festive color, perfect for Christmas.

Zoya Holly is a perfect metallic green color with subtle yellow tones. It is opaque in one coat but I used two coats to even it out. I am assuming that Holly will be good for stamping too, not that I want to waste such a beautiful color for stamping.

Indoors

I am including this close up picture to show how gorgeous Holly is and you can see the subtle yellow tones and its metallic finish here.

Finally! My First Blog.

Hello,

I am so excited to finally have my own nail blog. I have been following a couple of nail blogs recently and those ladies have greatly motivated me to start my own nail blog and show my passion or rather obsession with nail polish. It feels really weird writing this down when I know, I am the only one reading it, but I really hope that someday other nail polish lovers like me will read it too.

I will start with the nail polish that kind of started this obsession. It was by OPI called Por Favor. At first it looks like a cream, but there is subtle silver shimmer to it that makes it really beautiful. It goes on perfect with two coats. I used Seche Vite top coat.
